SIGLASS is a reading glass that enhances the natural beauty of adults. Designed from a hinge structure that does not use screws, we realized daily usability and the casual appeal of adults.

SIGLASS（シグラス）は、大人のありのままの美しさを引き立てるリーディンググラスです。ネジを使わないヒンジ構造からデザインすることで、毎日の使いやすさと大人のさりげない魅力を実現しました。
We rebuild everything.
Akii was in charge of product concept planning, product design and communication design for the new product “SIGLASS” by Simon. The uniquely developed hinge structure not only eliminates the need to retighten the screws, but also results in a bulky storage and iconic beauty. The original fabric case has a two-fold magnet fixing method, and the shape has been thoroughly investigated for smart and comfortable use.
株式会社サイモンの新製品「SIGLASS」の商品コンセプト立案からプロダクトデザインやコミュニケーションデザインまでをakiiが担当しました。既存市場の分析やこれからの時代を牽引するレーディンググラスのあり方を模索し、飾らない大人の余裕を感じられるデザインを実現しました。独自開発したヒンジ構造は、ネジを締め直す手間をなくすだけでなく、かさばらない収納やアイコニックな造形美に結実しています。オリジナルのファブリックケースは二つ折りのマグネット固定方式で、スマートで快適に使用できるよう、徹底的に形状を追及しました。

Fit technology to modern life
We designed a minimal illumination shelf made just by bending 1 mm sheet metal. We identified the characteristics of the technology and materials, and proposed a way to fit what is modern.
